Lindsay Lohan has admitted that she is worried about becoming an out-of-work actress.

The star, who is best known for her roles in Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, found that offers of work were beginning to dry up after she hit the headlines for her personal problems in 2007.

Lohan was arrested twice for driving under the influence last year. She also had three separate stints in rehab and spent time in jail.

"Right now I just want to find a great script, a great role," Lohan told Paper magazine. "I was so used to working and working and working and for a few months there was nothing for me to do. Now I know what it's like to be an out-of-work actor, and how much it scares me."

Lindsay's most recent film I Know Who Killed Me was panned by critics and received a number of prizes at this year's Golden Raspberry Awards, which recognise the industry's worst movies.
