Cheryl 'sings about Ashley troubles'

Cheryl Cole has sung about her split from husband Ashley while recording with Will.i.am in LA.

The Girls Aloud singer worked with the Black Eyed Peas singer on a track called 'Heartbreaker', according to The Sun.

Cole is in the US filming a new documentary The Passions Of Girls Aloud.

The show revolves around each member of the girl group achieving an ambition outside of pop music. Cole's passion is for street dancing.

"For her documentary, Cheryl was originally just meant to be part of the dance troupe for Will.i.am’s song - but he asked her to do backing vocals," said a source.

"The track is called 'Heartbreaker' - all about men treating their partners like dirt and cheating on them.

"Will sings a line admitting he has cheated and Cheryl sings back that he has been an effing jerk. Recording the vocal was quite cathartic for her. She used it to let off some steam.

"When she sings the line, she really means it - no question."

The song allegedly features Cheryl singing the line: "You f***ing jerk!"
