Benji Madden ex not angry with Hilton

Benji Madden's ex-girlfriend has claimed that she feels no animosity towards Paris Hilton.

Sophie Monk revealed that her split with the Good Charlotte rocker was friendly and that she wasn't dumped and replaced by Hilton.

She told Australia's Sun Herald: "Let me make this as plain as possible - Benji did not leave me for Paris Hilton.

"Benji and I did not break up badly or anything like that. We both decided, as adults, our relationship had run its course and decided to move on.

"I feel no animosity towards Benji and Paris at all and am very happy with life at the moment."

Hilton started dating the musician two weeks after he split from Monk. He is reported to have described the US socialite as "the one".

Madden's bandmate and brother, Joel, is engaged to Hilton's Simple Life co-star Nicole Richie.
