Pratchett kneels for Sir David Jason
The Colour of Magic author Terry Pratchett fell to his knees before Sir David Jason on stage last night.

The pair appeared along with co-star Sean Astin at the premiere of Sky One's production of the book. Pratchett joked that he should not speak over a knight of the realm and knelt down.

"I'm sorry Sir you are a Knight, I am only an OBE," he said. Sir David, who stars as wizard Rincewind, responded: "You'll make it one day."

The veteran actor also paid tribute to Pratchett's work: "How many books has one read that have been more creative and imaginative than those this gentleman has done?

"I hope that in our humble way we will bring some of the same pleasure as you (Pratchett) have in the written word."

Sky One and The Mob Film Company have already made Hogfather with Sir David and last night director Vadim Jean revealed the next book for the treatment would be Going Postal. Sir David will not return because Rincewind does not feature, but Jean suggested he could be back for another production in the future.

It was also revealed yesterday that Jeremy Irons guest stars as the Patrician in The Colour of Magic, which will air in two parts over Easter.
