Grease actor Jeff Conaway threatened Noel Gallagher with a knife after the guitarist laughed at him for being in a wheelchair.

Conaway, who played Kenickie in the 1978 movie, waved his walking stick and argued with Noel and his younger brother Liam backstage at a Marilyn Manson concert in LA.

The Gallagher brothers were drinking absinthe together when the actor, who has suffered from cocaine and alcohol addictions, confronted them.

Noel told Russell Brand's Radio 2 show: "Kenickie shouted, 'I've had four back operations, you know'.

"So I said, 'So get yourself out of that wheelchair then!' He said, 'I've had four operations but I can still pull a knife on you'. And he pulled out a big blade.

"We thought: 'You're going down, Kenickie'."
