It was reported last week that the Hannah Montana star was banned from seeing Lohan after they swapped numbers at the Grammy Awards.
According to the National Enquirer, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus believed the party-loving actress would be a negative influence on their 15-year-old daughter.
However, Billy Ray dismissed the claims during an interview with KIIS-FM, telling host Ryan Seacrest: “We love Lindsay.”
Responding to Miley's recent revelation that she needed more friends, he said: "I wanna be the person she wants to talk to. I just want to be one of those friends."
