Stallone wanted Becks for 'Rambo'

Sylvester Stallone has said that he contemplated asking David Beckham to appear in his current Rambo movie.

The Hollywood star claimed he knew the footballer would be a success in the US and considered having him appear in a jungle scene in the action film to cash in.

Stallone is quoted as saying: "I knew that David Beckham would be received as a superstar when he came to America.

"Actually, I thought that maybe I should put him in the new Rambo film and chase him around the jungle for a couple of months."
