French and Saunders, Carr join comedy festival
French and Saunders and Jimmy Carr have joined the lineup for this year's Glasgow International Comedy Festival.

The festival, now in its sixth year, hosts comedians from around the globe and will feature 350 shows across 40 Glasgow venues.

Festival coordinator Linda Allan said: "The festival has trebled in size in the last six years.

"The increase in the size of the programme and its quality is testament to the success of the festival and it is sure to attract people from all over Scotland and beyond."

Acts such as Dara O'Briain, Omid Djalili and Rich Hall are already on the bill, along with Scottish comics Frankie Boyle and Phil Kay.

Dame Edna Everage had been scheduled to perform but was forced to postpone the show due to illness.
