Lily Allen: 'I feel sorry for Cheryl'

Lily Allen has revealed that she feels sorry for former rival Cheryl Cole.

The singers have been embroiled in a long-running feud in the media but Cole reportedly tried to bury the hatchet in January by congratulating Allen on her pregnancy.

Allen, who later suffered a miscarriage, said she now feels sympathy for the Girls Aloud star over her marriage troubles with husband Ashley.

She told the audience on her chatshow Lily Allen And Friends: "A couple of years ago if I had the read the stuff about Cheryl Cole, about her and Ashley, I’d probably have had a little laugh to myself. Now I actually feel really sorry for her."

She also admitted that she had been jealous of Cole, saying: "She’s beautiful. That’s why I hated her so much."

Allen is reportedly receiving treatment for depression at a top London clinic.
