Watts lost weight through breastfeeding

Actress Naomi Watts has revealed that breastfeeding helped her regain her figure for new film The International.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the 39-year-old said: "Three weeks before we started filming The International I decided that I better get into changing my body back again. And they gave me a trainer and it was very effective, and also breastfeeding. That's how you drop weight. Even though you're just eating all the time he is eating too."

Watts gave birth to her first son, Alexander, in July of last year. She is currently engaged to the baby's father, actor Liev Schreiber.

The King Kong star added that motherhood has made her euphoric.

"My son is a true joy, every day it is total euphoria. But motherhood is harder than I thought. The biggest surprise was the lack of sleep. Alexander is still struggling to sleep through the night."

Watts will next be seen in Michael Haneke's Funny Games, which opens in the UK on April 4.
