Spears's dad given cash allowance

Britney Spears's father can draw £1,250 per week from his daughter's accounts in his role as co-conservator of her estate.

Jamie Spears and attorney Andrew Wallet retained control of the singer's affairs for another five months during a hearing on Wednesday.

The Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner also allowed Jamie to lease a car, according to TMZ.

Spears and Wallet were named temporary co-conservators on February 1 and have now had the period extended three times.

The most recent extension had been due to expire on March 10 but will instead be made official on that date.

Britney and ex-husband Kevin Federline will return to court over their child custody battle on the same day.
