Ashley's mum 'makes him apologise'

Ashley Cole's mum is making her son apologise to wife Cheryl's family for being unfaithful, say reports.

In January, the England soccer star was reported to have cheated on Cheryl with hairdresser Aimee Walton.

Earlier this week it was claimed that the Girls Aloud singer had forgiven Ashley and handed him a second chance.

However, according to The Mirror, Ashley's mother Sue has been less forgiving to the Chelsea defender.

A source said: "Sue is making him apologise to the whole of Cheryl's family and to theirs too. She raised Ashley - mostly as a single mum - to respect women.

"She has given him the cold shoulder, and it's really getting to him as he is incredibly close to his mum. He paid special tribute to her at his wedding."
