Kerry Katona visited doctors this week after becoming worried about the health of her unborn child.

Friends have claimed that Katona is feeling "stressed" and "distraught" following a series of tabloid reports about her personal life. She is said to have feared that her emotional state could affect her baby's wellbeing.

Last weekend, the News of the World reported that Kerry had been taking cocaine throughout her current pregnancy.

It was then suggested that the reality star's husband Mark Croft had cheated on her.

Fortunately, Kerry was assured by doctors that her baby is fit and well.

"Why can't everyone leave Kerry alone and stop making up stories about her? She's seven months pregnant and these stories are bound to cause her stress," a friend told the Daily Star Sunday. "Poor Kerry was worried about the effect on her baby."

Katona said: "I have medical evidence to prove without a shadow of a doubt that I am not taking drugs and have not taken drugs for a long time. To suggest I would put my unborn baby's life at risk is disgusting."

However, Kerry has been criticised for continuing to smoke and drink throughout her pregnancy, despite warnings from health experts that she should stop.
