'Potter' star plays God in school play

Harry Potter actor Robert Hardy has made a guest appearance in a school production of the story of Noah’s Ark.

The movie star, who plays Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge in the wizard films, starred as God in Noye’s Fludde at Portsmouth Grammar.

Student Ollie Chubb, 12, told The Mirror: "I have read all the Harry Potter books and seen all the films so it was a dream come true."

Hardy agreed to feature in the show after meeting the school’s head teacher two years ago at a talk about performing as Winston Churchill.

Speaking about working with the children, Hardy said: "The kids have been fantastic."
