Beckham launches line of men's jeans

Victoria Beckham is to launch a line of jeans for men.

The singer made the announcement after vowing to concentrate on her fashion career following the end of the Spice Girls' reunion tour.

The new range, which will retail for £100, are due to be released in August under her dVb label.

Fashion website DNR quotes her as saying: "I think guys should wear jeans big and baggy, with a big pair of boots or flip-flops - exactly how you see David when he's out in his jeans and T-shirt. Do not pull them up tight and have your bulge showing. Let it hang!

"I didn't want anything too tight around the crotch. That really repulses me. It might be fashionable, but you are not going to get that from dVb."

She insisted that she would be involved in every step of the design process, saying: "I'm a complete control freak and I want everything to be perfect. I'm not doing a Britney Spears and just putting my name on something and saying, 'Sell this perfume.' This is a real passion of mine."

Her friends recently expressed concern that she may be heading for a collapse due to her hectic schedule.
