Zeta-Jones's changing accent annoys kids

Catherine Zeta-Jones has confessed her two children are tired of her practising accents on them.

The Welsh actress said: "I think just having an accent, just as an actor, you always have to do different accents so your ear is always turned on."

Zeta-Jones has two children with Michael Douglas, seven-year-old Dylan and four-year-old Carys, and revealed they have asked her to speak "properly".

"My kids - I was reading books to them, practising my Scottish accent and they were going, 'Mama just speak the way you speak', they were so sick of me going, 'Right then children, so once upon a time' - 'Oh mama please speak properly'."

The 38-year-old will next be seen in Death Defying Acts playing psychic Mary McGarvie opposite Guy Pearce's escape artist Harry Houdini.

The Oscar winner also admitted she would love to have psychic powers so she could contact her grandmother.

"I would love to be able to contact people on the other side. If I could talk to my grandmother tonight, I'd be doing web-cams with her constantly," Zeta Jones said.
