Osbourne: 'Drugs made me miserable'

Kelly Osbourne has spoken out about her teenage drug addictions and claimed she will always be an addict.

The reality TV star said she has the "addictive gene" and confessed to occasionally letting herself go and having to call her mother in the morning to cry about it.

She told Metro: "I know I'll always be an addict. Addiction is a gene, I've just learned to live with it.

"There are different levels of addiction, whether it be drugs, spending money, overeating or painting your nails 20 times a day. It's an addictive gene and you have it for the rest of your life.

"I'm not totally sober because I do drink and sometimes I slip and I'll call my mum first thing in the morning and cry down the phone."

Osbourne described the period of her life where she was addicted to the painkiller Oxycontin as "utterly miserable".
