Kidman asks Clooney to be godfather

Nicole Kidman has reportedly asked George Clooney to be the godfather to her unborn child.

According to Star magazine, the actress is planning to have her baby baptised in a Catholic Church and wants her Hollywood friend to be there.

A source commented: "Nicole asked George to be her baby’s godfather, and he has agreed."

Kidman and Clooney became close pals in 1997 while filming The Peacemaker.

Clooney said in January that the Aussie actress would be a "perfect" and "tall" mother.

The baby will be Kidman's first with country music star Keith Urban. She has two adopted children from her relationship with Tom Cruise.
