Scissor Sisters write Broadway musical

The singer and his touring bandmate John Garden are penning the songs for a stage adaptation of Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City.
The show, which is focused around life in 1970s San Francisco, will open in 2009.
It has been written by Tony Award winner Jeff Whitty and is being produced by the team behind the puppet musical Avenue Q.
Tales of the City, which was turned into a TV series in the '90s, was voted Britain's favourite gay novel in a 2006 poll.
