Paula Abdul reveals adoption plans

Paula Abdul has said that she is likely to adopt a child in the next three to five years.

The American Idol star revealed she wouldn't automatically choose a child from abroad like Madonna and Angelina Jolie, claiming she would just like a "healthy" baby.

Abdul, 44, told Now: "I do [want children]. I'll probably adopt because I think it'll be in the next three to five years.

"I wouldn't necessarily adopt from abroad like some celebs. I just want a healthy baby."

The veteran popstar is currently dating restauranteur JT Torregiani. She has been married twice to actor Emilio Estevez and Brad Beckerman.

She admitted earlier this week that she was in no rush to get married for the third time.
