Sir Paul McCartney is to become a grandfather for the sixth time.

The singer's eldest daughter Mary is expecting her first baby with filmmaker partner Simon Aboud.

She already has sons Arthur, eight, and five-year-old Elliot with ex-husband Alistair Donald, whom she divorced last year.

A source told the Daily Mail: "They don't know whether it's a boy or a girl and they don't want to. Everyone is delighted and they are very happy."

Mary, who followed in the footsteps of late mum Linda to become a photographer, has been dating the former advertising creative director since last year.

The source added: "Like Mary, Simon loves photography. They don't like a lot of fuss and they often go out separately so as not to draw attention to themselves."

McCartney is also grandfather to daughter Stella's three children.

He has reportedly reached an agreement with estranged wife Heather Mills over their divorce settlement.
