Aardman triumphs at Animation Awards

'Wallace And Gromit'

Wallace and Gromit creator Aardman was the big winner at the British Animation Awards.

The company won four awards, including Best Children's Series and the Children's Choice award for CCBC show Shaun The Sheep: Still Life.

BAFTA-winning short The Pearce Sisters triumphed in the Best Craft category, while The Peculiar Adventures of Hector won the prize for best commissioned new media animation.

My Family star Robert Lindsay received the Best Character Voice Performance award for his turn in John Dunleavy's Technical Hitch.

Meanwhile, animator Suzie Templeton won the Best TV Special award for Oscar-winning short Peter and the Wolf.

Animate Projects scooped the best short film title for Yours Truly and Best Film at the Cutting Edge for Magnetic Movie.

The Chemical Brothers picked up Best Music Video for Salmon Dance at the ceremony, which is held every two years.
