Hudson revealed that she kept switching from enjoying Matthew's company to getting irritated by his behaviour when they filmed the romantic comedy.
"We can tell each other when we can't stand each other," she is quoted by the Daily Record as saying. "I can run and grab him and go, 'I love you so much' and then I could tell him he's driving me crazy."
Kate insisted that she and Matthew would not make a good couple in real life - because she could not stop laughing when they filmed a love scene for Fool's Gold. Producers eventually decided to leave the footage on the cutting room floor.
"The fact that I couldn't stop laughing was a bad sign," she admitted. "He was making grunting sounds that I'd never heard before. No, Matthew and I wouldn't work."
