Ashley Cole will skip party for Cheryl

Ashley Cole has decided to prove his loyalty to wife Cheryl by avoiding a massive party which is being organised by his Chelsea teammates.

The footballer has told Cheryl that he will not attend the club's Easter bank holiday celebrations next weekend.

A source told The Mirror: "Ashley would have been there in a flash because the party is part of the footballing calendar and a time for everyone to let their hair down.

"It's always a raucous affair to say the least so he's decided to give it a miss to keep Cheryl happy. He's desperate to prove that he's there for her and not at the beck and call of his mates all the time."

Ashley and Cheryl's marriage hit the rocks in January after it emerged that he had cheated on her with single mum Aimee Walton. The pair have since reunited, but Cheryl is believed to have introduced a set of strict new rules to keep her husband in line.
