Keith Richards advises Amy to "get smart"

Keith Richards has warned Amy Winehouse that she "will not be around for long" if she does not make changes to her troubled lifestyle.

In an interview with the Mail on Sunday, the Rolling Stone revealed that Winehouse is the only modern artist he rates.

"There's only one person. That girl Amy," he explained. "Mind you, that girl isn't going to be around long unless she sorts herself out pretty quick. Amy's got to get smart."

"I'm not a preacher," he continued. "But I've been there and you have to pass it on."

Richards' bandmate Mick Jagger revealed that the Rolling Stones' music suffered as a result of their own drug troubles in the Seventies.

"It completely took over our lives creatively and we couldn't do this and couldn't do that," Jagger said. "You had to spend all your time trying to deal with the police. The same thing has happened to Amy Winehouse."
