Max Beesley wins damages over sex claim

The actor's lawyer Jenny Afia said that reports from the online publication in October 2007 alleging that Beesley tried lining up females at a TV industry party in Cannes were "totally untrue".
Beesley contacted the celebrity gossip email service asking for an apology and seeking damages, but his demands were not met.
The Hotel Babylon actor was not present at London's High Court where a settlement was reached with Popbitch Ltd.
Popbitch solicitor James Quartermaine said the organisation apologised for the article and accepted the story was false. The company will pay Beesley damages and legal costs.
