Newman seeing top cancer specialist?

Veteran actor Paul Newman has been seeing a top cancer expert for seven months, a report claims.

According to PageSix, the 83-year-old has visited the New York clinic on a number of occasions with his wife Joanne Woodward.

A source said: "He's been there a lot - he's even worked out in the waiting room, doing squat thrusts. Last time he was in there he had a long beard.

"Joanne is there waiting for him and being very sweet with the assistants."

Concerns about Newman's health were first raised in January, when a report suggested that he had undergone emergency cancer surgery.

Rumours were further fuelled when he failed to attend a fundraising party for his Hole in the Wall Gang children's charity last Monday.

His publicist said he had been "having back problems", while the actor himself joked that he was being "treated for athlete's foot and hair loss".
