Spears told to pay Federline's legal bills

Britney Spears has been ordered to pay $375,000 to cover ex-husband Kevin Federline's legal bills.

LA Court Commissioner Scott Gordon ruled that the singer's actions were responsible for "the great majority of litigation" in the couple's long-running custody battle.

Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan had requested nearly $500,000 for his client during a hearing last week.

However, Spears's attorney Stacy Phillips argued that the dancer could clearly afford to contribute to his own legal fees after leaving a $2,000 tip on a recent $365 restaurant bill. He had previously claimed to have no steady income.

Spears's dad Jamie was also granted permission to sell some of his daughter's cars.
