Holmes to launch Armani clothing line

Katie Holmes is to launch her own clothing line with Giorgio Armani.

Her first collection for the new range, named 'Katie Holmes for Armani', will be aimed at toddlers and will be released next spring, reports OK!

Holmes designed a polka-dot dress for 23-month-old daughter Suri last year.

A range for older children will be available next autumn, with women's clothes and handbags to follow in 2010. All the lines will have prices similar to the Armani ready-to-wear collection.

A friend said: "Right now this is Katie's life. She is extremely excited about it. The first clothes will all be things she could imagine Suri wearing.

"These are going to be very high-quality clothes. We're not talking cheesy Jessica Simpson stuff."

Georgio Armani has been advising Holmes on her style since they met in Rome three years ago. Both she and husband Tom Cruise wore the designer's clothes at their wedding in 2006.
