Carey: 'My lovers must be celebrities'

Mariah Carey has said that any future boyfriend she has will have to be a celebrity.

The American diva revealed that there are four criteria that all aspiring lovers must meet before they can date her.

She claimed all hopeful bachelors must "understand" her, "take care" of her and be able to match her fans for affection.

Carey also said that they must understand the world of showbusiness, because otherwise they won't appreciate the stresses she deals with every day.

She told Allure: "That’s a big deal for me - feeling like somebody else can’t fully understand me because they’re not in showbusiness.

"It shouldn’t matter, but it does, because the energy it takes to be 'on' is a lot."
