Man found dead at Mel Gibson's home

A man has been found dead in an apparent suicide at a Los Angeles property owned by Mel Gibson, reports say.

The Lost Hills Sheriff's Department received a 911 call on Wednesday morning alerting them to a man hanging from the rafters of a house in Agoura Hills.

Speaking to E! News, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Detective Eddie Brown said: "Detectives along with paramedics arrived at the scene and the gentleman was pronounced dead on arrival. Cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles Coroner's office."

The name of the deceased is yet to be released, though reports claim that the man was a 47-year-old construction worker.

Sources claim that actor and director Gibson, 52, has never lived on the property, where construction of a residential compound is underway.
