Lawyer Michael Norris denied the misdemeanor charge on behalf of the Transformers star on Wednesday, reportedly relating to a ticket he received for illegally lighting up outside a gift shop in Burbank, California.
The $1,000 bench warrant issued following his failure to attend court on Tuesday was dismissed.
A pretrial hearing will take place on April 24 and the 21-year-old could face a $1,000 fine and six months in jail if found guilty.
LaBeouf was previously arrested last November after refusing to leave a Chicago drug store while drunk. A misdemeanour criminal trespassing charge was later dropped.
He can next be seen in upcoming movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
