Children's TV presenter Mark Speight will not face drugs charges following the death of his fiancée.

Natasha Collins, 31, was found dead in the bathroom of the flat she shared with the SMart host in St John's Wood, North-West London, on January 3.

Speight was originally arrested on suspicion of murder and supplying Class A drugs, before being released on bail.

He was later rejected as a murder suspect but remained on bail in relation to drugs.

Metropolitan Police confirmed that the investigation had now been dropped, saying: "Following advice from the Crown Prosecution Service, there will be no further action."

Speight quit his role on the long-running CBBC art show last month, claiming he was unable to continue after his "tragic loss".

An inquest into Collins's death will take place at Westminster Coroner's Court on April 2.
