Lutfi, Britney's former manager, was told that he must stay away from the singer after her parents applied for a restraining order in February. The ban was renewed for a further 30 days earlier this week.
Sam has now filed an official objection to the California Superior Court commissioner who is overseeing Britney's case. He is expected to appear in court on April 16 to appeal for a new judge.
His publicist Michael Sands told the Daily Record: "Sam did an outstanding job and participated in Britney's intervention on January 31. LAPD mental health experts were there that night and they thought he did a star job helping in the intervention.
"Sam is really a good guy and the public perception is not appropriate. That is the bottom line."
