Katona: 'Paris engagement is too quick'

Kerry Katona believes that Paris Hilton has become engaged to boyfriend Benji Madden too soon.

The pregnant reality TV star, who is currently being treated for depression at The Priory, said the couple should not be so quick to make a commitment.

Hilton was first spotted with the Good Charlotte guitarist - brother of Nicole Richie's boyfriend Joel Madden - at a club in LA last month and they are said to be "smitten".

Katona wrote in her diary in OK! magazine: "I've heard that Paris Hilton has got engaged to her boyfriend Benji Madden after two weeks.

"It's a bit quick isn't it? I got engaged to Brian after three weeks and we ended up in the divorce court."

She added: "It's strange that she's going out with Nicole Richie's boyfriend's identical twin. Best friends share everything, but that's a bit much!"

Katona had two daughters with Brian McFadden before their separation in 2004. She is now married to builder Mark Croft.
