The former Hole singer wants to leave LA and adopt a healthier lifestyle this side of the Atlantic.
Love, 43, said the city is not a suitable place to raise 15-year-old Frances Bean, her daughter with late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.
She is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: "I am fed up with Los Angeles. It's dirty and full of crazy people. I want a complete lifestyle change. People criticise Britain but it is still a cleaner, safer place to live than Hollywood."
She revealed that she had viewed Kate Moss's apartment in St John's Wood, north London, but said: "It was too small and I don't want to live in the city. I love the greenery and the freshness of the countryside. It is just a healthier place for me to be. I've been house-hunting seriously and I'll know as soon as I find the perfect place."
She has reportedly spent several months looking for properties in areas such as Sunningdale in Berkshire, close to Prince Andrew's home.
She added: "There are too many bad influences [in LA]. Frances is looking forward to the move to England."
