Bruce Willis is opening a wine bar in New York.

The Die Hard star is a partner in the Bowery Wine Co.'s new bar in Manhattan's East Village.

Bowery's owner Chris Sileo said: "It's upscale and loungy. We'll have high-end, light fare that will include paninis, salads and desserts."

Last week, the 52-year-old held his own private opening for the venue which was attended by Sopranos actors Vincent Curatola and John Ventimiglia.

Willis, who worked as a bartender before finding fame as an actor, spent time behind the bar serving drinks at the opening.

The actor previously opened the Planet Hollywood chain with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone and also owns The Mint nightclub and The Liberty Theatre.
