Pregnant Katona in hospital over baby scare

Kerry Katona has been taken to hospital after displaying symptoms of potentially life-threatening condition pre-eclampsia.

The reality TV star, who is pregnant with her fourth child, is being treated in Macclesfield, Cheshire, her spokesman Max Clifford said.

She was admitted as a "precautionary measure" after experiencing swelling in her legs and ankles, which can be a symptom of the illness.

Clifford said: "We are praying for her. It is a very worrying time but she is in the safest place for her and her baby.

"If it turns out to be pre-eclampsia then it can be a very serious condition, she'll need urgent medical attention."

The I'm A Celebrity... winner had just completed a short stint in rehab clinic The Priory, where she had been receiving treatment for depression.

She is expecting her second child with husband Mark Croft in May and will name him Maxwell after the PR guru.
