Bailey Rae thanks fans for support

Corinne Bailey Rae has thanked her fans for supporting her as she deals with the death of her husband.

Her partner Jason Rae was found dead at a flat in Leeds last weekend. An inquest has heard that he died from a suspected drug overdose.

Corinne's manager Bob Miller has said that the singer is "touched" by the "love" she has received over the past week.

In a statement, Mr Miller explained: "Corinne Bailey Rae and her family have been touched by the huge amount of love and support that’s flooded in from all over the world, and that is really helping all of us cope at this terrible time.

"Corinne is also very grateful for the privacy she is being given and the respect that has been paid to herself and Jason."

Bailey Rae met her husband while working as a cloakroom assistant at a Leeds nightclub. They married in 2001.
