Kasabian slam Canadian seal hunt

Kasabian have signed a petition calling for a ban on seal hunting in Canada.

The group follows in the footsteps of Morrissey in criticising the country's annual cull of baby harp seals.

Singer Tom Meighan told NME: "I think it's just common sense really, I mean, of course I don't think it's ok to smash a baby seal's skull.

"I'd never wear fur, it's such an ugly thing to do."

The petition, organised by Peta2, called on the Canadian government to change its decision to permit the culling of 275,000 seals.
