Rihanna, Brown 'not in a relationship'

R&B singer Chris Brown has denied that he is dating popstar Rihanna.

Speaking at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday, Brown told The Associated Press: "We’re not in a relationship or anything."

The 18-year-old, who picked up an award for Favourite Male Singer, admitted the pair were just friends.

Rihanna skipped the press line at the Awards bash, avoiding any questions about a possible romance with 'Kiss Kiss' singer Brown.

The 20-year-old denied rumours that the pair were an item earlier in the month, though Brown fuelled speculation at a recent gig, saying "if I was the prince of R&B, then I would need a princess", before performing a version of Rihanna's 'Umbrella'.
