Heigl: 'I'm not the next Julia Roberts'

Katherine Heigl has denied claims that she is following in the footsteps of Julia Roberts.

The Grey's Anatomy star has seen big-screen success with romantic comedies Knocked Up and 27 Dresses, and recently signed up for The Ugly Truth.

However, she dismissed comparisons to her fellow actress, who is best known for appearing in rom-coms such as Notting Hill and Pretty Woman.

She is quoted as saying: "I can't help but feel [the comparison] is a little insulting to Julia Roberts. There's not another woman who I look at and think, 'That's it, that's whose career I want to have.'

"I'm just me and trying to do the best I can in every decision in any given moment."
