Rihanna: 'Chris Brown is like my brother'

Rihanna has insisted that she and fellow R&B star Chris Brown are like "brother and sister".

Rumours have been rife that the pair are dating since they were seen "smooching" in a pool while on holiday in Jamaica.

Brown also appeared to hint at a romance during a recent gig, telling the audience: "If I was the prince of R&B, then I would need a princess." He then performed a remix of Rihanna's hit 'Umbrella'.

However, he denied the rumours at Saturday's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards and Rihanna has now backed his claim that they are not an item.

She told MTV News: "I won't say that we're just friends - me and Chris are really best, best friends. We both started our careers around the same time. He is one of the only people in the industry... I trust and hang out with all the time.

"We are best friends, honestly, like brother and sister. If he was a boyfriend, I would say that."
