New Kids On The Block have said they would love to be mobbed by screaming fans as they were at the height of their fame.

The boyband have confirmed rumours that they are reuniting for an album and tour to mark the 20th anniversary of sophomore LP Hangin' Tough.

Brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood enjoyed huge success in the late 1980s and early '90s, selling more than 50 million albums.

Wahlberg told People: "We generally enjoyed the screaming and the screeching and the hysteria that came with performing back in the old days.

"And I think if the fans are that enthusiastic and willing to scream and go crazy and buy a ticket for our show, we'd be more than grateful for that and receive it with open arms."

Jordan Knight added: "Scream all you want. We love it. Bottom line."
