The veteran boyband, who announced they were reuniting last week, said they still felt like "kids" regardless of their age.
Speaking on The Today Show, Danny Wood said: "It's just a name. We're kids at heart anyway, so it's not going to change."
Commenting on the reunion, Joe McIntyre said: "As we all know, there's a lot more to life than music and the arts. But we've done a million things. There's been a long time but we've had full lives and it's nice to be back.
"I shot a film with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino called Righteous Kill. After that, I was kind of like, what more can I do with acting? So I got back with my boys and made some music."
The 'Hang Tough' popstars originally split in 1994.
