Atkinson downed vodka for lesbian scenes

Gemma Atkinson has claimed that she downed shots of vodka before filming lesbian scenes in her big screen debut.

The I'm A Celebrity... star said she was so nervous about shooting the same-sex love scenes that director Duncan Ward offered her and co-star Jaime Winstone alcohol.

She told The Sun: "I’d literally just met her and had to have sex with her. The director came up to us with a bottle of vodka and said do what you need to do."

Atkinson, who is currently dating footballer Marcus Bent, will make her movie debut in Boogie Woogie later this year.

The film also stars Heather Graham, Gillian Anderson, Christopher Lee, Alfie Allen and Joanna Lumley.
