Naomi Campbell has been banned from British Airways following her arrest at Heathrow's Terminal 5 last week.

The supermodel was escorted from her flight to LA in handcuffs after losing her temper when she was told that one of her bags was not on board.

After becoming aggressive to cabin staff, she allegedly spat in a policeman's face as he tried to calm her. The plane was delayed for two hours before she was forcibly removed.

The airline has now announced that she is no longer welcome on its flights in the wake of the row.

Her spokesman said: "Naomi has been flying with BA for nearly 30 years and has been a good customer. She hopes this can be resolved amicably."

Virgin said she could still travel with them depending on the outcome of any court proceedings.

It was reported yesterday that the 37-year-old is expected to escape with a caution.
