Friel: 'I snubbed Cowell record deal'
Anna Friel has revealed that she turned down the chance to be signed by Simon Cowell's record label.

The Pushing Daisies actress said that she snubbed the multi-million offer to focus on her thespian career.

"I was perfect fodder but had set my goal on acting," she told The Sun. "I met Simon six years later, in New York, and he said it was the smartest thing I ever did."

The former Brookside star also revealed that she met ex-boyfriend Robbie Williams in America recently.

She commented: "It was the first time I’d seen him in years and he was really lovely, saying he had heard how well Pushing Daisies was doing.

"It was really nice meeting him, like seeing an old friend."
