Samaire Armstrong has revealed she has been "getting better" after her spell in rehab.

Speaking to People, the 27-year-old said: "It's been getting better and better. There were some tough times, but I'm in a place where I've got really great people in my life. I'm on a really clean and clear path. I feel really good."

Armstrong, who has starred in The OC and Dirty Sexy Money, entered a rehab centre last year to deal with personal issues.

Armstrong added: "I've had a lot of time to spend with my family. I've had a lot of time to focus on myself... it's always about staying on the right path."

The actress admitted she was sympathetic towards her Just My Luck co-star Lindsay Lohan, who has been to rehab several times.

"I can totally relate," Armstrong said. "The only difference is that I know you can only have success if you want to change. I can't make a statement on whether or not they want to. But I know you can only change if you want to."
