Paris Hilton books into two-star hotel

Paris Hilton checked into a two-star hotel in Liverpool during a recent visit to the UK.

The heiress was forced to lower her standards when she booked into the city's Lord Nelson hotel after joining boyfriend Benji Madden's band Good Charlotte on tour.

The popular venue, which includes the Dug Out sports bar, offers rooms from £45 per night.

Hotel spokeswoman Zoe Tarrach said Hilton had proved popular with staff, telling Metro: "Paris was so nice, so down-to-earth. She was actually very complimentary about the hotel – she said it was lovely."

However, the socialite checked out shortly after midnight and spent the night elsewhere.

Nicole Richie is reportedly "furious" that Hilton is accompanying the band while she stays at home with baby Harlow, her daughter with frontman Joel Madden.
